Speaking about his initial feelings toward her career, Petkuns revealed: “At first, it was like, ‘Oh, like is it normal? Not normal?'”However, after a heartfelt conversation with a close friend, he found himself looking at the situation differently.

The advice he received was refreshingly blunt but meaningful. He shared his friend’s words: “No matter what you’re gonna do, people [are] gonna tell you you’re stupid.”

Petkuns also explained that his family has an open-minded and relaxed attitude about the topic, seeing Reid’s previous career as just another chapter in life.His mother, for example, is primarily concerned with one thing—her son’s happiness.

He reflected on how some issues in relationships can be far more serious, adding: “It’s not like my wife has killed anyone.”

When Adam22 inquired about whether Reid continues to work in the mainstream adult industry, Petkuns clarified that she had already transitioned out of it by the time their relationship began.

Currently, Reid creates content for OFs, focusing entirely on collaborations with other women.While Petkuns generally brushes off external opinions, he did mention that two of his friends disapproved of his relationship.

They even went as far as unfollowing him on social media after learning about his marriage.

Other than that, though, he hasn’t faced much negativity from his social circle, which has been a relief.

In a separate episode of Adam22’s podcast, Reid spoke openly about the challenges her career might bring for her child as they grow up.She acknowledged the potential hurdles, saying: “It’s definitely a real fact that my career will affect my kid at some point in some degree, and it is up to me as a parent to try and coach it in the most appropriate manner possible.”
