Woman Who Paid $165,000 To Extend Her Legs By 5.5 Inches Left With Huge Regrets After Surgery

Theresia Fischer, a model and reality TV personality from Germany, invested thousands of dollars to have her legs lengthened.

Unfortunately, this decision resulted in a chronic bone condition.Initially, Fischer stood 5’6″ tall, which is about two inches taller than the average woman in the U.S.

At the age of 24, she chose to undergo a surgical procedure that increased her height to over six feet.This procedure involved the insertion of adjustable telescopic rods into her shins.

These rods were then gradually extended to lengthen her legs over time.

Fischer spent over $160,000 to gain an extra five and a half inches of height.However, the cost involved more than just money.

She has shared that the procedure left her suffering from periosteum inflammation.

According to UConn Health, this condition occurs when the connective tissue layer surrounding the bone becomes inflamed.Periosteum inflammation is usually chronic and can cause symptoms like bone tenderness, stiffness, fever, chills, and swelling around the bone.

Fischer has expressed her desire for the day “when these rods finally come out.”She previously admitted that the surgery “shouldn’t have happened.”

During an interview with MDR Jump, a radio network, Fischer revealed that an ex-boyfriend had pressured her into undergoing the surgery because he would ‘really like’ her to be taller.Reflecting on her decision, Fischer said/: “I am ashamed because I consented to an operation that shouldn’t have happened.”

“I’ve never dealt with that before because I’ve always been happy with my body.”

Recently, Fischer has been using her Instagram to promote her participation in the reality TV show “Battle of the Reality Stars.”She also appeared on Germany’s Next Top Model and Celebrity Big Brother.

On her Instagram, she often shares glimpses into her personal life, including a photo with her partner Stefan and her parents.In one post, she wrote, “My long-awaited dream of finally being complete as a family has come true.”
