Kanye West has set the record straight after rumors swirled that he and his wife, Bianca Censori, were kicked out from the 2025 Grammys following their eyebrow-raising red carpet moment.

The 47-year-old rapper and his 29-year-old wife have been at the center of controversy since Sunday’s (February 2) award show.
On the red carpet, the Australian model ditched her black fur coat to reveal her sheer, see-through dress, which left little to the imagination. She then completed the look with see-through flip-flop heels, slicked-back hair, and simple makeup.
Meanwhile, her rapper husband opted for a more understated look, dressing in an all-black T-shirt and trousers, paired with oversized boots and his signature wraparound sunglasses.
Speculation quickly spread that the couple had been asked to leave by police following their stunt. A Page Six source even claimed the stunt was “an attempt to replicate the album cover of Vultures”.
West’s 2024 album, Vultures 1, featured the rapper dressed in black, his face concealed by a mask. Censori stood beside him, facing away, wearing nothing but thigh-high boots and a small piece of black fabric.
However, Variety refuted these claims, citing a source close to the Grammys who insisted the reports were “not true” and that West simply “walked the carpet, got in his car, and left”.

The Flashing Lights hitmaker himself has now addressed the rumors. He took to Instagram on February 3 and went after broadcaster Don Lemon, blaming him for spreading false claims.
Sharing a photo of Lemon smiling, West wrote: “This the goofball that started the rumor that me and my wife got kicked out the Grammies 3 decades of innovating music and they always K**S like this.”
As with many of West’s posts, the message has since been deleted – but not before it ignited a fiery response from Lemon.
The 58-year-old shared a video on the social media platform where he fiercely denied any involvement in spreading the false narrative.
“First of all, Kanye, Ye – whatever your name is – I did not start a rumor about you being kicked out of the Grammys, I actually corrected it,” Lemon said.
“I saw someone on your team who asked me to correct it because it had been reported everywhere. So, first of all, get your s*** straight. And you, of all people, calling me a c**n? That ‘Make America Great Again’ hat must be too tight on your head,” he added.
Lemon’s reference to the MAGA hat wasn’t random – West famously sported one during a 2018 Saturday Night Live appearance and later doubled down on his support for Donald Trump at a White House meeting.
Adding fuel to the fire, Lemon revealed he had spoken to a West team member about the exit rumors.
“As we were leaving the Grammys, we saw a spokesperson for Kanye and that spokesperson said he was indeed invited, that’s a fact,” he explained in another video.
“And that he was not kicked out. That is what they’re saying on Kanye’s side. So, this is Don Lemon, reporting the tea, from the Grammys studio,” he added.
The ‘Gold Digger’ rapper himself hasn’t issued any further comments since his now-deleted Instagram post.
