Tyson Fury, the 36-year-old British heavyweight boxer known as the ‘Gypsy King’, has announced his retirement from boxing following consecutive defeats to Oleksandr Usyk.
In a video posted on social media, Fury stated, “I am going to make this short and sweet, but I would like to announce my retirement from boxing.”

Fury’s decision comes after a unanimous decision loss to Usyk in their rematch on December 21, 2024. Despite the defeat, there was speculation about a potential two-fight deal with Anthony Joshua in 2025. However, Fury’s retirement announcement appears to have ended those prospects.
This is not the first time Fury has declared his retirement. He previously announced his departure from the sport in August 2022, only to return later that year. His career has been marked by such reversals, leading to some skepticism about the permanence of his latest decision.
Fury’s career has been distinguished by significant achievements, including victories over Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder, which solidified his status as one of the top heavyweights of his era. His recent losses to Usyk, however, have prompted him to step away from the ring once more.

Standing at 6 feet 9 inches tall, he has an unorthodox style and exceptional footwork that have confounded opponents. Fury’s career highlights include defeating long-reigning champion Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 to claim the unified heavyweight titles, a victory that established him as a global boxing star.
After a hiatus from the sport to battle personal struggles, including mental health challenges, Fury made a remarkable comeback.
He achieved further acclaim through his trilogy of bouts with Deontay Wilder, culminating in winning and defending the WBC heavyweight title. Known for his charisma, candid interviews, and resilience inside and outside the ring, Fury has solidified his place as one of boxing’s greats.
As fans and analysts reflect on Fury’s contributions to boxing, the question remains whether this retirement will be his final exit from the sport or if the ‘Gypsy King’ will make yet another return to the ring in the future.

Joel Embiid had a furious rant in the face of a female referee during an NBA game, and has been slammed for his outburst

The ejection occurred with 2:59 left in the second quarter after Embiid received his first technical foul for disputing a foul called on Victor Wembanyama.
Moments later, Schroeder issued a second technical, resulting in Embiid’s expulsion from the game.
Replays of the confrontation were inconclusive about whether Embiid made contact with Schroeder as he approached her.
Some angles appeared to show his chin brushing her hand as she signaled the decision.

Following the ejection, a visibly angry Embiid had to be restrained by teammate Kyle Lowry, head coach Nick Nurse, and several assistants.
The altercation drew sharp criticism from NBA broadcaster Stephanie Ready, who commented on the incident during the live broadcast, per the Daily Mail.
“It’s a foul (on Wembanyama), every which way. You can see he is up disputing it, she is trying to discuss it calmly, and he goes off,” Ready said.
“He approaches and steps to her as if he wants to have a physical confrontation, which I have a problem with. He has to be restrained. He is now out of the game. I have a lot to say, as a woman.”
Despite the drama, Embiid returned to the court after the game to join his team’s celebrations, showing no apparent remorse for his behavior.

Earlier in the second quarter, she ejected Philadelphia’s Andre Drummond for what was initially ruled a foul on Wembanyama.
However, after a video review, the officials rescinded the call and reversed Wembanyama’s technical foul for flopping.
This sequence of decisions highlighted a tense atmosphere on the court even before Embiid’s ejection.
Following the NBA star’s outburst, viewers took to social media to slam Embiid’s behavior.
“What was Embiid doing? Clearly he was intimidating, that’s unacceptable behavior,” one person tweeted.
Another X user wrote: “Embiid is really the f***ing worst. Getting in a woman’s face and intimidating her? Over basketball? Get this man outta the league bruh.”
This season has been a turbulent one for Embiid, a two-time NBA scoring champion and perennial All-Star.
Plagued by left knee soreness, he has missed numerous games and faced additional setbacks, including a sinus fracture and a suspension following a locker-room altercation with a reporter.

The game was a stark contrast to Embiid’s previous matchup against Spurs center Victor Wembanyama.
On January 22, Embiid set a franchise record by scoring 70 points against the Spurs, outdueling Wembanyama, who tallied 33 points.
On Monday, however, Embiid’s performance was lackluster as he sought to replicate that dominance.
Jason Kelce divides viewers after jokingly calling US cities the ‘b******e and armpit of America’

During ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown, Kelce – former Philadelphia Eagles center and brother to Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce – referred to Dallas and Arlington as the “b******e and armpit of America,” leaving his fellow panelists in stunned disbelief.
The comment followed a lighthearted animated segment where Mina Kimes, Dan Orlovsky, and Drew Carter hosted an alt-cast of the Monday night game, themed around The Simpsons.
In the segment, Kimes jokingly described the fictional town of Springfield as “the armpit of America’s b***crack.” But when the broadcast returned to real-world coverage of the Cincinnati Bengals vs. Dallas Cowboys game at AT&T Stadium, Kelce upped the ante with a cheeky joke.
Host Scott Van Pelt transitioned the conversation back by noting: “We’re in the state of Texas, Arlington, Dallas…” when Kelce interjected with his now-infamous quip: “Also the b******e and armpit of America.”
The remark sent the panel into chaos, with audible gasps and horrified laughter. Kelce quickly tried to backtrack, insisting it was all in good humor. “Guys, it was just a joke because of what Mina said,” he explained. “We’re having fun here.
“I love Dallas. We got the cowboy hats.”
Some fans even called for Kelce to be “fired” from his analyst position. Credit: Ric Tapia / Getty
However, the damage was done, and social media users took no time in reacting. On X (formerly Twitter), one fan couldn’t contain their amusement: “Jason Kelce called Dallas the b******e and armpit of America on live national television. I’m crying, I love that man.”
Others, however, weren’t laughing. “Can’t believe you would let Jason Kelce go on live TV and call Dallas a ‘b******e Town,’” one critic wrote, tagging ESPN in their post.
“As a life long Eagles fan…Jason Kelce’s post-career 15 minutes are over,” one person added.
“Please tell me when the Kelce show is over,” another X user said in response to the comment.
One person even suggested: “He should be fired on the spot”.
Another added: “Jason Kelce calling Dallas the b******e of America live on ESPN wasn’t on my bingo card.”
As a longtime member of the Eagles – Dallas’ bitter NFC East rivals – Kelce’s words were inevitably going to ruffle feathers. Whether fans see it as a playful jab or an unnecessary slight, it’s clear the outspoken former player isn’t afraid to keep things entertaining — no matter the fallout.
Mike Tyson is being sued for $1,600,000 after allegedly breaking promo contract to fight Jake Paul

Last month, two of the greatest talents in boxing came together to deliver an all-star performance on Netflix after the streaming giant played host to the iconic Mike Tyson versus Jack Paul fight.
The two men went head-to-head at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on November 15 in front of 72,000 people at the venue — as well as an estimated 120 million watching all around the world.
The highly-anticipated fight saw eight rounds of action, two minutes each – though, some fans were left feeling disappointed after seeing Tyson struggle to keep up with his challenger. But then again, can you blame him? Tyson is 58 years old and Jake Paul is 31 years younger at 27.

By the final bell, Paul was declared the victor by unanimous decision.
In the wake of the event, it seems as though there has been some controversy surrounding Tyson and an agreement he had with a Cyprus-based gambling company.
Apparently, the former heavyweight champion had a promotional deal with Medier, a company that promotes online casino and betting company Rabona, but Tyson is said to have failed to hold up his end of the bargain.

The company, who filed the suit in London back in October, is said to be accusing the veteran boxer and his company Tyrannic of breaking a January contract on the day the Netflix special was announced in March, citing a scheduling conflict and claiming a breach of the agreement by Medier.
However, the suit alleges that Tyson cost Medier a loss of roughly $1.59 million.
“The true reason for Mr. Tyson and Tyrannic’s hasty and unlawful termination was because Mr. Tyson had agreed [to] a deal, sponsored by Netflix, to fight the influencer Jake Paul,” the company’s lawyer wrote in documents released on Friday as per The New York Post.
In response, Tyson’s representatives gave the news outlet further details of the incident.
“It is the company’s position that Medier, Ltd. materially breached the terms of its license agreement on multiple occasions and in various ways. As such, Tyrannic, LLC was well within its legal and contractual rights to terminate the license agreement for material breach in an effort to mitigate additional reputational harm to the Tyson brand,” they said in a statement.

This is not the only lawsuit that came as a result of the fight.
A man from Florida who goes by the name Ronald ‘Blue’ Denton also filed a class-action lawsuit but this time against Netflix in the days after the fight over the poor streaming quality.
He is seeking damages of $50 million.
National anthem singer is praised for her savage response to being heckled mid-song
A singer was praised for her savage response after being heckled while singing the National Anthem.
On Thursday night, a teenager was scheduled to deliver her rendition of the country’s anthem at Madison Square Garden during a New York Knicks versus Charlotte Hornets game but was rudely interrupted by a heckler who shouted something from the audience.
While most would try and ignore the hater, the singer decided to call him out without even using any words.
A video of the moment has recently been going viral after it was posted to both Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
The video starts with the girl singing the lyrics: “Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the-” before she is cut off by a man shouting something from the stands.
It is unclear what he said at the time, but the singer decided to stop singing altogether and turn to find the perpetrator with an unimpressed look on her face before recovering and continuing where she left off.
“O’er the ramparts we watch’d were so gallantly streaming,” she could be heard saying as the crowd around her started cheering in support of her performance.
Knicks’ power forward Karl-Anthony Towns was also caught smiling at the reaction, much to everyone’s amusement.

“KAT’s reaction,” wrote one user alongside laughing emojis, while another added: “The side-eye. She forgot where she was for a sec, she said oh yeah lemme get back to this anthem.”
A third also added: “Glad she stopped gave him his 2 seconds he so desperately needed then continued in key!”
And this user also chimed in to state: “She was like oh hell nah… imma deal wit you after the performance lol.”
Others also took the time to praise the singer for her incredible performance.
“Kept going like a champ,” one Instagram user said and this person also added: “I was there! She had an amazing voice and the crowd went insane at the end of it!!!”
Another added: “The fact that she continued on like that is a top tier move ngl.”
Footage sparks conspiracy theory Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight was rigged
In an event that has the boxing world buzzing with controversy, Jake Paul’s recent clash with boxing legend Mike Tyson has ignited claims it was rigged.

Fans and skeptics alike are raising eyebrows over new footage from last Saturday’s fight in Texas, suggesting the bout may have been “fixed.”
The fight marked Tyson’s return to the ring after a 19-year hiatus, setting the stage for a dramatic showdown with YouTube celebrity Jake Paul.
But some viewers are now questioning the integrity of the match, pointing to a specific moment in the third round as evidence.

A 10-second clip shared widely across social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter), shows Tyson apparently pulling a punch that could have been a knockout blow.
As Paul lowered his left glove, exposing his jaw, Tyson’s right hook seemed ready to end the fight—only to be abruptly withheld.
The video has sparked a flurry of conspiracy theories, with the original poster on X saying: “Proof that the fight was rigged, fake and Tyson was holding back throwing the fight for Money.”
This sentiment was echoed by numerous fans, one of whom commented: “If it was real Tyson would have destroyed him and been out of the ring in less than 2 minutes.”
Another added: “That may have been the KO shot that Tyson obviously pulled.”
The backlash reached Jake Paul, who vehemently refuted the claims on his brother Logan’s Impaulsive podcast.
An irate Paul dismissed the accusations of rigging, attributing the missed punches to his own skill in the ring.
“People are like, ‘Oh it’s rigged because look at him on the pads,” he ranted. “‘He didn’t do this in the fight.’ Because someone is f*ing punching back, you dumb fks. You don’t realise my power, my jab, my speed and my ability and footwork to get out of the way of those punches. So then all of a sudden, he’s literally throwing at air – he can’t land those punches on me.”
As the debate rages on, the boxing community remains divided. Was the fight a legitimate sporting event, or was it a choreographed spectacle designed for entertainment and profit?
As more footage and analysis come to light, the truth may eventually emerge, but for now, the controversy only adds to the legend of what was meant to be a blockbuster bout.
